Collies - Selecting a Breeder

The best age of putting a puppy into his new home is somewhere between 7 to 8 weeks. Purchase at the earlier age can be dangerous for the well being of the puppy. Responsible breeders start the socialization process in their homes. When the pup is sold, it has already been introduced to a number of situations and should not be shy or aggressive.

Prior to the purchase of the Collie puppy, certain equipment is required. A slicker brush, a comb and nail clippers make up the grooming equipment. A collar and a leash are necessary. Bowls for food and water, toys with which to chew and play, and a crate for training are also essential to bring up healthy and happy Collies.
